Wow this is another super deep article, well constructed concepts.

I like in particular your analysis of the dynamic layer and the influence of our ego.

Is the person acting on pillar 1 consciously using these elements or is it still an illusion constructed by the ego?

Thank you so much for the kind words, Philipp! And glad to hear the analysis of the Dynamic Layer and the ego resonated with you.

And a really interesting and thought-provoking question!

"Is the person acting on pillar 1 consciously using these elements or is it still an illusion constructed by the ego?"

Let's break this down:

1. During the usual shrinking pattern with no awareness engage (we are not intentionally trying to engage System 2 thinking here): It's the usual System 1 response. From the pillar 1, the Dominant narratives shout down the deeper desires. And Dominant narratives are often heavily driven by the ego dynamics, core fears, and conditioning described in the Dynamic Layer. What might feel like a conscious choice (for instance, "It's just not the right time to speak up") can indeed be an illusion orchestrated by the ego's safety-seeking mechanisms and established System 1 automatic reactions.

2. Intentionally responding to the Shrinking pattern with awareness engaged (we are using System 2 thinking in this scenario): the person is consciously engaging with their Pillar 1 Deeper Desires. This involves recognizing ego's influence over dominant narratives. Then making the choice to act with intention, driven by authentic expression of Pillar 1 Deeper Desires. The beauty here is, if you keep on overriding automatic System 1 response, even the dominant narratives change with time to reflect the new intentional identity. Secondly, there is even less effect of limiting aspects of ego.

Good points for the machine age.

Thanks for seeing this connection!

The human patterns of "shrinking" are timeless. But, the complexities of the machine age and constant digital exposure have made understanding our internal identity and conscious responses more critical than ever.

Understanding internal identity has always been there but digital interaction has required a more understanding of external impacts.

You've pinpointed it exactly! While the journey of understanding internal identity is indeed ancient, the pervasive nature of digital interaction has dramatically increased the need to understand and consciously navigate external impacts. These digital external impacts often directly feed into the very internal narratives and fears I explore in the article, making that intentional response even more crucial.

Thanks for adding that sharp clarification!

Fear ( among humans) is option misused to misrepresent. Attack on identity, change in opponents narrative at scapegoating (falsifying blame on unsuspecting…) fear is used by coercion& oppression related systems &issues.

But i add.. the human community issues is very different from natural laws. Its far more safer in Nature& among non human wilderness& creatures than coded algorithms& machines. Its a life time adventure to know both. May be one day i will write about it…. Who knows… but now i must keep walking..,

These are profound and important viewpoints. The critical issue is fear can be systemically misused, which certainly adds another layer to understanding the pressures that can lead to individuals feeling diminished.

Your contrast between the complexities of human societal structures (especially our "coded" modern world) and the perceived clarity or safety of natural laws is also a very thought-provoking one. It truly is a lifetime adventure to explore both.

Fear is also called a reaction in physical mental emotional aspect… related to … hormonal adrenaline rush. If people over use it, the brain can revert to stress/boring duality. To walk through adventure& not be addicted even to natural responses in extreme is essential. Todays digital age trends, populism, etc.., or earlier times work stress, over work, etc…, or chase of next money by greed, next conflict by war mongers,… all these are part of brain overacting in linear ways without counter balance…. When humans allow our human natural systems to keep a balanced approach, fear in context, not misused (manufactured crisis to attack unsuspecting population) not weaponised challenge for negetive labels to scam ot greed/power,… we can build healthy communities. Edu institutions, sport, adventure, etc instead of death driven violence wars, loss to human life& effort. The brain remaining alert isn’t from comfort, but ability to find meaningful challenges to overcome. The machine may have labels trending, but may be far from truth. So digital machine prompts & labels dont really help& can shift into scams, gossip, fake dares or cognitive burn out (when machines try to run a race with the human brain without ethical systems to win… as in trend, populism,… etc)
